We didn't plan to start a streetwear brand. That's kind of the point.
Casual Detour was born on a Tuesday afternoon in Queens, when we took a wrong turn looking for a bodega and ended up in a neighborhood we'd never seen before. The sidewalks were cracked in that perfect way. Corner store awnings in faded red and yellow. A construction site with a DETOUR sign pointing left, and nobody following it.
We stood there, looking at that orange sign, and it hit us: the best things happen when you stop following the route everyone else takes. That's the energy we wanted to wear. That's the energy we wanted to sell.
Our designs pull from the city we walk every day. The grid of Manhattan streets. The chaos of a subway platform at rush hour. The way a yellow cab cuts across three lanes like it owns the asphalt. Every piece is built for movement โ heavyweight cotton, oversized cuts, graphics that don't peel after two washes.
Casual Detour is a brand under Thynk Unlimited โ a creative studio built on the principle of thinking outside the box. THYNK OUTSIDE THE BOX.
The path everyone walks is crowded. We make clothes for people who'd rather see what's down the side street.
Heavyweight fabrics. Reinforced seams. Graphics that hold up. If it can't survive NYC, it doesn't leave our shop.
Concrete grit meets creative energy. Asphalt black meets hot pink. No rules.
